Analytics & Reports
Thorium Cloud provides a comprehensive analytics suite that transforms raw session data into actionable insights. From daily revenue tracking to peak-hour analysis, the analytics dashboard helps operators optimize pricing, plan capacity, and understand usage patterns across their charging infrastructure.
Dashboard Metrics
When you log in to cloud.thorium.gr, the main dashboard presents a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the selected time period:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Revenue | Sum of all captured payment amounts across all units and channels. |
| Total Energy | Aggregate kWh delivered across all sessions. |
| Session Count | Total number of completed charging sessions. |
| Average Session | Mean energy (kWh) and duration per session. |
| Utilization Rate | Percentage of time each channel was actively charging vs. idle. |
| Estimated Profit | Revenue minus estimated electricity cost (based on your configured cost per kWh). |
Each metric includes a comparison to the previous period (e.g., "Revenue up 12% vs. last month") and a sparkline showing the trend over the selected timeframe. You can filter by unit, location, channel, or date range using the controls at the top of the dashboard.
Revenue Tracking
The revenue section provides a detailed breakdown of income:
- Daily revenue chart — a bar chart showing gross revenue per day. Hover over any bar to see the exact amount and session count.
- Revenue by unit — compare performance across different units or locations. Identify which sites are generating the most income.
- Revenue by channel — drill down into individual channels. Useful for spotting underperforming chargers or imbalanced utilization.
- Electricity cost overlay — toggle an overlay that shows estimated electricity cost alongside revenue, giving you a visual representation of your profit margin. The default electricity cost is
0.18 EUR/kWh(adjustable in settings).
Session Analytics
The sessions view offers a filterable, sortable table of all charging sessions:
- Session ID — unique identifier for cross-referencing with Viva Wallet transactions.
- Unit and channel — which charger served the session.
- Start and end time — precise timestamps for session boundaries.
- Duration — total elapsed time from contactor close to contactor open.
- Energy delivered — total kWh metered during the session.
- Cost — the captured payment amount.
- Payment status — Captured, Pending, Voided, or Failed.
- Session type — Paid or Complimentary (admin override).
Click on any session to expand its detail view, which includes a current draw graph over time, showing exactly how the vehicle's charging profile evolved throughout the session.
Peak Hours Analysis
Understanding when your chargers are busiest helps with pricing optimization and capacity planning. The peak hours view displays:
- Heatmap — a 7×24 grid (day of week × hour of day) showing session density. Darker cells indicate higher usage. This instantly reveals your busiest and quietest periods.
- Hourly utilization chart — average utilization rate by hour across the selected period.
- Demand forecast — based on historical patterns, Thorium Cloud projects expected demand for the coming week, helping you anticipate busy periods.
Exporting Reports
All analytics data can be exported for external use — accounting, tax reporting, or custom analysis in spreadsheet software.
PDF Reports
Generate a formatted PDF summary report for any time period. The report includes all dashboard KPIs, revenue charts, session summaries, and utilization metrics in a clean, printable layout branded with your company details. Navigate to Reports → Generate PDF, select the date range, and click Download.
CSV Export
Export raw session data as a CSV file for use in Excel, Google Sheets, or any data analysis tool. Each row represents a single session with all fields (timestamps, energy, cost, payment status, etc.). Navigate to Reports → Export CSV, configure your filters, and click Download.
Scheduled Reports
Set up automatic report delivery on a recurring schedule:
- Navigate to Reports → Scheduled Reports.
- Click New Schedule.
- Choose the report type (PDF summary or CSV data export).
- Select the frequency: Daily, Weekly (delivered on Monday), or Monthly (delivered on the 1st).
- Enter the email recipients (up to 5 addresses).
- Click Save.
Scheduled reports are generated automatically and delivered via email as attachments. Each report covers the preceding period (e.g., a weekly report delivered Monday covers the previous Monday through Sunday).
